After discussing as a group, we thought of a few ideas. When we came to the decision of what our film should be, we firstly began to create a story bored, which is step by step drawings of what our film would consist of, showing mise en scene, location, which camera shots, also various editing techniques such as transitions and how long the cut will be.
When we started filming we used basic cameras, we filmed on location and so found it easier to hold the camera rather than use the tripod, we felt it was easier, and gave the film a good look as the mo. After filming we used a program called Final Cut Pro, to transfer the clips from the camera to the program we had to change the format using Quicktime.
Once all the the clips were uploaded, we could then begin to edit. we learned basic skills, such as trimming and cutting the clips to get the suitable part. It was basic and easy to drag the clips onto the timeline and put them in order. We tried to match each cut with the beat of the song, this would make it easier to listen to, and make it flow.
We then went on to edit the film after it was in order on the timeline, we used various editing styles, such as, low saturation, the first section of the film, where the two actors a far away from each other, we did this so that we could make the second part, where the two are getting closer, brighter and more colour, by increasing brightness and saturation. We used the basic Edits folder on Final Cut. We also used the fade tool, which appears as a line on the timeline, and you can move it down using the pen tool to make the clip fade out into the next. This is a really good effect.
After finishing our film, we then moved on to our Digi pack. We desided to do a photoshoot using a 12mgp digital camera. We wanted natuarl lighting so we shot outside, to also link with the video.
When then uploaded the photos onto the computer, and we then began to edit using Photoshop cs3. We used various editing techniques to mach the video, such as high contrast and a low saturation, to make the photos look intense.
For the poster we used the burn tool to darken the edges to give the photo a good look, i also increased the contrast and lowered the saturation. I added text using the text tool.

For the inserts, we added text on top of the photo for an interesting effect, we added text, enlarged it, decreased the opacity, we also used the free transform tool to slant the text.
We used the same editing techniques for each photo as to keep them linked, and added layers on the Back cover such as a production label, and a bar code, to make them look more realistic. We thought that the final outcome was really effective.
