Production Treatment

The music video:
Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap.

Duration:
3:54 mins long.

Audience:
The main target audience for 'Sweet Disposition' would be young adults or teenagers; who are coming of age and into a world of romance and relationships. They can relate with the song and may remind them of that particular person. The lyrics targeted at both genders; not male or female in particular as both can relate to the typical 'love' songs. We think the song will be most popular however with females, even so our target audience would be both male and female. The beat of the song is attracting to young adults and teenagers as it is modern.

Resume:
Sweet Disposition is about a couple that are in love; what we understand from the video is that the male is trying to put out the message that he doesn't want things going too fast in the relationship, but wants things to stay how they are, as he probably feels like it may be too good to be true. A sweet disposition is someone who is generally sweet and timid when around people. He may be referring to his girlfriend. Also someone with a sweet disposition is gentle, hard to anger, always happy and even tempered they does not speak harshly about anyone else, looks on the bright side and this is the general mood of the song.
This gives us the idea that the song is something soft and gentle, he doesn't want to end the relationship but only take it at a slower pace and so overwhelmed with it.
The way we are going to interpret the music is also in a kind, soothing way. The boy and girl are walking towards each other unaware of what's going on around them.

'Most people would call this song a love song as it has a great meaning to do with catching the innocence of youth.' A quote from The Temper Trap.

Suggested Elements:-
The performance is a storyline of a boy and girl, they're walking towards each other. The fact that they're walking, shows that they are trying to reach somewhere, which kind of relates to the lyrics of the song, about young love. Also, it symbolises the start of a relationship; as the beat of the song picks up and becomes faster, the characters will also pick up speed.
Our costumes will consist of being dressing informally, as its just a boy and girl walking so its a casual scene, so the clothes will represent what young teenagers wear. We wont be doing any sound effects as they don't really fit in with the overall song that we have chosen to use.
Our main aim is to get the location correct, we have chose to film in a abandoned area, which will add contrast to the film. 'Oh reckless abandon' which is a lyric in the song, shows how the young relationship takes over and nothing else matters, we have interpretated this emotion in and plan to put it into our video metaphorically as everything around our characters will be abandoned, also they will be the only people in the shot.

Recording days:-
The first shot we record will be the main sequence of the whole video, which is with the two characters both walking separately, aware that eventually they will meet in their travel to their destination- with them both thinking in their own world. After the main sequence has been recorded - we will then start off recording the little scenes, we will d this in the greenscreen room. Once that is all done- we will then look back at our main sequence; see if everything fits perfectly(scenes and music) , and if it does not; then we will make some adjustments, so that the video looks to a high standard as we would like it to be. We will also be adding editing effects to our video, such as; using the green screen, slow motion, high contrast, black and white background.
